Boron-containing Polyethylene Radiation Shielding Board

Borated Polyethylene Plate is a professional neutron and gamma radiation shielding material specially developed for nuclear safety, medical radiation protection and industrial shielding applications. Manufactured by uniform mixing and high-pressure integral molding of UHMW polyethylene and high-purity boron carbide (B₄C), the material features stable internal structure, even boron distribution and consistent shielding performance.
The product adopts a dual shielding principle: the polyethylene matrix effectively slows down fast neutrons through hydrogen atoms, while the boron-10 isotope efficiently absorbs thermal and superthermal neutrons. This combination provides reliable composite shielding against neutron and gamma radiation without generating secondary radioactive contamination. Compared with traditional lead plates and concrete shielding, borated polyethylene is lighter, non-corrosive, environmentally friendly and easy to process.
